to understand your rights and responsibilities.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Respiro mobile application ("App"),
you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree
to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Respiro ("we," "us," or "our").
Service Description
Respiro is a wellness application that provides:
- 26 guided breathing, body, and mind practices for stress relief
- Smart stress detection based on 7 behavioral signals (processed entirely on your device)
- Personalized practice recommendations with a 4-stage adaptive engine
- Mood check-ins (Inner Weather), daily insights, and weekly progress reports
- 120fps breathing animation (LotusBloom) rendered with Metal GPU
- 30 ambient sounds for practice sessions
- Push notifications for stress suggestions and daily reminders
- Optional PRO subscription for the full experience
Important: Respiro is a wellness tool, not a medical device or treatment.
It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
Respiro detects behavioral patterns, not medical conditions.
User Accounts
You may use Respiro as a guest or create an account:
- Guest Mode: All data stored locally on your device. No account required. You can still purchase PRO
- Account Creation: Via email OTP, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In
- Account Security: We use one-time passwords (no stored passwords). You are responsible for securing access to your device
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use the App

Free tier (no payment required, forever):
- 5 practices: Physiological Sigh, Box Breathing, Progressive Relaxation, 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding, Dive Reflex
- Smart stress detection
- LotusBloom breathing animation

PRO tier (subscription required):
- All 26 practices unlocked
- Full adaptive recommendations
- Calm Toolkit (mood-based quick start)
- Weekly progress insights

Subscriptions and Payments
Respiro PRO is available as:
- Monthly subscription — billed monthly through the Apple App Store
- Annual subscription — billed annually through the Apple App Store. May include a 7-day free trial
Pricing varies by region and is displayed in your local currency in the App Store. Key terms:
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime via App Store > your profile > Subscriptions. Access continues until the end of the paid period
- Free Trial: If offered, converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before trial end. Trial is available once per Apple ID
- Refunds: All purchases are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's refund policies
- Price Changes: We may modify subscription prices. Apple will notify you in advance, and you can choose to cancel
User Conduct
You agree to use Respiro in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You may NOT:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App
- Distribute, sell, or transfer your account to others
- Interfere with the App's operation or security features
- Scrape, copy, or extract data from the App without permission
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Intellectual Property
- App Content: All text, graphics, audio, animations, and software are owned by Respiro and protected by intellectual property laws
- Ambient Sounds: Licensed under CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) from public domain sources
- User Data: You retain ownership of your practice data, reflections, and mood check-ins
- License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Feedback: Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without compensation
Disclaimers
Not Medical Advice: Respiro is a general wellness tool and does NOT provide medical advice,
diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.
Emergency Situations: If you are experiencing a medical emergency (chest pain,
difficulty breathing, severe panic), call emergency services immediately. Do not rely on Respiro
for emergency situations.
Mental Health: If you have severe anxiety, depression, PTSD, or other mental health conditions,
consult a licensed mental health professional. Respiro's techniques complement but do not replace professional care.
No Guarantees: While our practices are based on published scientific research
(Stanford Medicine, NIH, clinical protocols), individual results may vary. We do not guarantee
specific outcomes.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Respiro shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
- Personal injury or property damage resulting from App use
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Service interruptions, errors, or technical issues
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Account Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account in Settings > Account > Delete Account
- Canceling your subscription via the App Store
- Uninstalling the App
We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms.
Upon account deletion, all server-side data is permanently removed within 30 days,
in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services or for legal reasons.
When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ukraine.
